Antonio Brown demands an NFL completion investigation in order to play again

Free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown wrote an Instagram post Wednesday night, stating that he wanted to play in the NFL again and urged the league to resolve its investigation into his conduct.

The post came two days after Brown scoffed at his possible retirement from the NFL in a tweet.

In his Wednesday post, which he directed to the NFL, Brown seemed to change his stance. He started the league by “shuffling” with his research and leaving him “in limbo.”

“The fact that he refuses to provide a deadline and the reason why he will not resolve his investigations is completely unacceptable,” Brown wrote. “I demand that you give me clarity about this situation right away if you really care about my well-being. My legal team keeps asking and you don’t give me answers. How come the league can drag its feet in any investigation it chooses on the players and just do we have to sit in limbo?

Brown also wrote that he is “waiting” for the NFL to complete its investigation so that he can speak to interested NFL teams.

“I need an update to be able to speak to these teams correctly,” he wrote. “They’re waiting for you nfl, let’s get this going! We have history to make!”

In November, Brown met with the NFL to address the sexual assault allegations against him. The league began investigating him under his personal conduct policy after a lawsuit filed by his former coach alleging that Brown sexually assaulted her multiple times. Brown was also accused of sexual misconduct at his home by an artist who worked there in 2017.

Brown last played for the New England Patriots in September 2019. The Patriots released him a week later, and since then he has not been signed by a team.
