The human remains found at the site of the Christmas RV bombing in Nashville belong to Anthony Quinn Warner, the tech expert behind the blast, officials announced Sunday.
“Anthony Warner is a bomber,” U.S. Attorney Don Cochrane said during a press briefing.
He was present when the bomb went off, and then he died in the bombing. “
The 63-year-old Werner is the only known casualty in the bombing, which injured three people and caused significant damage to property, including the AT&T building, knocking out cell service in most parts of the state and the south.
Forensic testing was used to match the remains found at the scene and Warner’s DNA with relatives, officials said.
Investigators are investigating whether Warner touched on the big bang based on fears of 5G cellular technology and the suspicion that it was being used to spy on the American people, it was reported earlier.
Officials declined to discuss any motives during Sunday’s briefing, citing an ongoing investigation, but said they were monitoring Warner’s online activities.
Prior to the blast, an audio recording was released from the RV warning people to evacuate the area.
The ominous recording also includes a countdown to the explosion, including the classic Petula Clark pop song “Downtown”.
Officials said they believe Werner has acted alone, and there is no delayed risk to the public.
He was previously on the radar of any law enforcement agencies, officials said.
