They are really cheap!
AMC Theaters will sell new movie tickets this week for a measly cheap 15 cents a doll – to lure people back to the big screen amid the coronavirus crisis.
The cinema chain said the film would pass for pens – about the price of a ticket in the 1920s – on the first day of its revival on August 20, Variety reported.
Beginning Aug. 21, movie buffs can purchase $ 5 tickets for classic movies like “Back to the Future,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Grease” at about 100 new AMC locations nationwide, the entertainment outlet reported.
The company then plans to phase out a larger phase, with the goal of having nearly 400 of its 600 locations in place by the Sept. 3 release of the new spy thriller “Tenet.”
AMC says it will implement new cleaning measures, and keep locations at limited capacity, allowing guests social distance, according to the report, which does not elaborate on the number of people allowed on each show.
The first round of openings includes theaters in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and Atlanta. Cinemas in New York and Los Angeles, where heath officials have not approved the opening of the cinemas, will continue.
