Amber warning revoked, missing Carolton girl found safe after mother’s murder, in father’s custody – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The mother of a 10-year-old girl who went missing early Wednesday morning was found dead and her father is in custody.

Carrollton police said shortly after 11 a.m. Rosemary Lee Singer was located in Red Oak and Dallas with police assistance.

The child’s father, Ronald Lee Singer, 35, has been taken into custody and is likely to be charged with the murder of his mother’s wife, his ex-wife.

Officials said Maria Romero Ramos, 45, was found dead in her apartment in her room at 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of East Hebron Parkway. The death was investigated as a homicide, police said.

A statewide amber warning was issued Wednesday morning for the woman’s child after police found out the mother and killed her and took her to a friend’s home by her biological father.

Police say Singer has ties to the Hillsboro area, but have no specific information on where he may be.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information about the whereabouts of its father and child is requested to call 911 or 972-466-3333.
