Amazon deal brings Razer gaming mouse to new low price

Grab a great Razer Viper gaming mouse for a new low of $ 50

Ars Technica

Today’s Dealmaster is spearheaded for a new low price on the Razer Viper, one of our favorite wired gaming mice for most gamers. Originally retailing for $ 80, it’s currently available for $ 50. This is $ 10 cheaper than its previous best price, which we’ve seen hitting the device multiple times.

We recommended the Razer Viper in our tech enthusiast gift guide last season, and we currently recommend its wireless equivalent, the Razer Viper Ultimate, as the best gaming option in our wireless mouse buying guide. While there are many cheaper mice, even at this bargain price, the Viper is a decidedly premium device in terms of both comfort and performance.

Its biggest draw is that it is extremely light: At 69 grams, the Viper glides on quickly without locking into the “honeycomb” design of most other ultralight mice. It’s not too big for smaller hands, and its slightly hunchbacked design is contoured in a way that should work well with all types of grip. (Although it’s probably plus more comfortable with a claw or fingertip grip than with the palm of the hand, especially if you have large hands. . And while the Viper is primarily made of plastic, it’s soft to the touch and feels firmly armed.

In games, the Viper works admirably, with no noticeable latency and an extremely accurate sensor. Its CPI range can be adjusted from 100 to a whopping 16,000 in increments of 50 CPI; That maximum is exaggerated, but there is plenty of room to adjust the mouse sensitivity to your liking. The scroll wheel is too stiff for ultra-fast scrolling, but it’s accurate and the main click buttons are sharp enough. The attached cable is also extremely flexible, and while there’s minimal RGB lighting on the mouse logo, it’s far from heinous.

One thing to note is that Razer’s Synapse 3 app, while being inconspicuous enough, is not compatible with macOS. Most types of PC games use a Windows machine anyway, but you won’t be able to customize the Viper’s various settings if you don’t. It’s also worth mentioning that Razer sells a Viper Mini mouse for $ 40; That’s not a bad device, but it does drop a couple of side buttons, it lacks the rubber side grips, it’s a bit too small for bigger hands, and generally doesn’t work as well as the regular Viper.

However, if you are not interested in a new mouse, we also have deals on the Sega Genesis Mini, various Anker charging accessories, the Apple HomePod and much more. Take a look at the full list below.
