All changes from Fortnite season 4 map: Doom’s Domain, Helicarrier, more

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 has officially arrived, and as always, Epic Games have made a ton of changes to the battle royale map, with new locations and Points of Interest scattered across the island for players to enjoy and explore.

New seasons always bring the biggest changes in Fortnite, and developers Epic Games would like to use them as a way to introduce new map elements to help keep the game fresh as players jump out of the Battle Bus in search of Victory Royales.

With Fortnite Season 4 focused on the superheroes from the Marvel universe, it’s no surprise that there are some newly named locations based on the characters, with Dr. Doom and SHIELD who get special landmarks in the v14.0 patch.

Below you can see the full Fortnite Season 4 map, which includes Dr. Doom’s new layer in the position where Pleasant Park once sat.

A look at all the named locations in Fortnite Season 4.

Doom’s Domain

There’s only one new name location on the Fortnite Season 4 map to kick things off, but Dr. Doom has not wasted time living and making the island feel at home, with Doom’s Domain taking up residence in the northwest corner of the island, where Pleasant Park once sat.

Dr. Doom has certainly put his own stamp on things, and has erected a massive statue of himself right in the middle, while also constructing a creepy looking castle where he will live for the foreseeable future.

He’s also worked hard to crack security, with laser-guided cameras placed on the buildings at Doom’s Domain, and you can even see the chief himself wandering, so stay clear unless you want to end up in a fight.

SHIELD Helicarrier

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will remember the SHIELD Helicarrier from the first Avengers movie, the monster car that works both in the air and in the sea, where director Fury controls the battle against Loki and the Chitauri in a epic battle that Newly destroyed York City.

Now, Fortnite players will launch the Helicarrier like the Avengers, as it has become the new lobby for players to wait before jumping into action.

You can also see it floating in the air during matches, even in the Northwest, although you may not get the mid-game yet. That may change as the season goes on, but it will probably have to move closer to the actual island before that is possible.

Sentinel Graveyard

If you travel to Loot Lake, you may notice something different about the mountains directly to the west, as there is a forest of seemingly broken Sentinel mechs lying in the hillside.

How these got there is not yet clear, but they are definitely hard to miss. Perhaps Tony Stark has tested his latest inventions, or the Fortnite Islanders are getting their defensive work ready for the arrival of Galactus. For now, they do not seem to work, but we can patrol them on the map sooner rather than later.

Quinjet Patrol Stations

As you jump into a match, you feel the rumble of Quinjets flying from the Helicarrier beneath you and landing on the island, ready to fight off any intruders who may damage the reality of the island.

These Quinjets will land at SHIELD patrol station across the island, which are easily found by the blue smoke billowing into the air. Be warned though, there are Stark robots patrolling the area, and they will not take you kindly to try to steal any technology from them.

Strong robots protect the Quinjets, but there is loot to be found if you can take them off.

With Fortnite Season 4 officially released on August 27th, there are plenty of map changes for players to try when they first head to the island with new looks.

Of course, with the season so new, not all changes have been discovered yet, but we will update this article with all the updates we find.
