Alison Jenny says Anna Ferris is a ‘big loss’ leaving CBS Sitcom Mom


As the hit sitcom mom goes into its eighth season, the show will get a different look, while Anna Ferris will not return as Christy Plunkett.

The actress made the surprise announcement in early September that she is not returning for the eighth season, and now her co-star Alison Jenny is addressing her departure.

Jenny, who played Bonnie Plunkett on the show, spoke to Entertainment tonight, revealing how faris means for the show.

‘It’s a big loss not to have Anna for the show because she was involved in the creation of a character named Christie, who fell in love with everyone, who was very loving and cozy and proud and funny and we will miss her very much.’ Said.

‘I think, the relationship between Bonnie and Christie I will lose the most, though it will still continue. But he will not be present. That is what I will miss, ‘he added.

Jamie Presley, who played Jill Kendall on the show, also missed Faris with the new Covid-19 safety protocol in place.

‘But I want to say that it feels like she’s still here because we talk about character all the time,’ Presley added.

He added that Jenny’s character was ‘always against it or against it,’ and that the characters would ‘still hear the name’ and ‘still talk about it.’

‘She’s not gone as far as our concern, and we’ve all spent so much time together over the years and love and support each other and we all want to be happy with each other, so we’re happy for her and we ‘It doesn’t matter though,’ Presley added.

Mimi Kennedy, who plays Marjorie Armstrong-Perugian in the show, had nothing but glowing things to say about Faris.

‘I had a dressing room next to him and I played his sponsor. And I realized how smart she is and like Bloods, you know, just playing Blondes, she’s a smart cookie and I really, really enjoyed talking to her, ’Kennedy said.

Beth Hall, who played Wendy Harris on the show, added, “The thing about Anna was that she was always very encouraging.”

‘If you were funny, if you did a nice scene, she would always admire you and tell you how good it was. It was always great about him, ‘he added.
