Airbnb is hosting a bedroom inside the world’s latest blockbuster, and you’re invited


The world’s latest Blockbuster video store will rent the store for a sleepover.

Airbnb is renting the store in Bend, Oregon for $ 4 to guests for three one-night stays on Sept. 18, Sept. 19 or Sept. 20, FOX-2 Detroit reports.

“As the last standing location in the world, our BLOCKBUSTER store is an ode to film magic, simpler times and the sense of community that could once be found in BLOCKBUSTER locations around the world,” reads the official Airbnb listing . “In recent months, we have missed the regular visits of friends, neighbors and tourists from all over the world.”

Guests will have the store to themselves from check-in to check-out, and will be provided with a pack of face masks, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.

The store will also be cleaned prior to arrival in accordance with Airbnb’s Enhanced Cleaning Protocol, which adopted recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Guests can enjoy a movie night complete with a pull-out couch, beanbags and pillows around cozy and even “new releases” from the 90s, reports FOX-2.

“Our BLOCKBUSTER store is open because of the incredible local community in Bend, and we are grateful to have the support of those outside our city because the coronavirus pandemic has affected our business,” the official statement read. “To pay it forward and pay out in this tradition of support, Airbnb will make a donation to the Humane Society of Central Oregon.”
