The state capture commission has written a final letter to Zuma’s lawyers seeking clarity on whether the former president will comply with the subpoena that requires him to appear before the investigation.

JOHANNESBURG – The state’s capture inquiry commission gave Jacob Zuma’s attorneys until noon to clarify whether the former president will appear before it on Monday.
Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo has summoned Zuma to appear on the commission from November 16-20.

The commission wants Zuma to respond to the serious criminal charges that witnesses made against him.
The state capture commission has written a final letter to Zuma’s lawyers seeking clarity on whether the former president will comply with the subpoena that requires him to appear before the investigation.
He said that, to date, Zuma had not submitted any request for Zondo to recuse himself.

The commission has warned Zuma that if he wanted to file a lawsuit in this regard, it would not constitute a valid reason for him not to comply with the subpoena.
Zuma has evaded appearing before the commission, citing various reasons including illness, separate court cases and unfounded allegations that the commission was biased against him.
