DURBAN – The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal said the party has yet to meet former President Jacob Zuma over his refusal to cooperate with the state capture commission.

This is despite the emboldened position of the former statesman on the matter.

Closing the party’s two-day provincial lekgotla on Tuesday, ANC KwaZulu-Natal president Sihle Zikalala expressed concern that Zuma’s conduct could cause further divisions within the party.

However, Zikalala said that Zuma’s conduct was not in line with party policy.

“The fact that the ANC has made the decision that all members of the ANC must respect the commission means that the ANC must compromise with the former president and also ensure that we all adhere to and respect the commission.”

Zikalala has called on all ANC members to come together to support the state capture commission
