Former Orlando Pirates coach and manager of the Zambia national soccer team, Milutin Sredojevic, 51, appeared in New Brighton Magistrates Court on a charge of sexual assault on Friday.
The spokeswoman for the National Prosecutor’s Authority, Anelisa Ngcakani, said that Sredojevic was granted a bond of R10,000 and that the case was postponed until February 25, 2021.
According to Ngcakani: “It is alleged that prior to this … during the Cosafa (South African Soccer Games Council) in Port Elizabeth, a 39-year-old woman was delivering coffee at Wolfson Stadium when she asked Sredojevic if she needs sugar with her coffee.
“He allegedly said no and revealed that he needed another type of sugar while pointing out his private parts.”
She complained
Ngcakani said the woman is alleged to have complained to her boss, who in turn warned Sredojevic not to do it again.
“Later that day, the lady went to deliver coffee again at the same stadium and this time Sredojevic allegedly touched her buttocks,” Ngcakani said.
Sredojevic is a Serbian coach better known as “Micho” by PSL players and fans.
