Midfielder Thakgalo Leshabela became the second South African together Percy tau to do your Premier league debut this season as Leicester City overcome Sheffield United 5-0 at the King Power Stadium.

At 21 years and 174 days old, Leshabela became the last South African to appear in the Premier League after Brighton & Hove Albion retired the Bafana star Bafana in January.

A hat-trick by Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho and goals by Ayoze Pérez and an own goal by Ethan Ampadu sealed a comfortable 5-0 victory for the Foxes.

Born in Pretoria, Leshabela moved to the UK with her family at the age of two, joined the Leicester academy in 2013 and has shone in the junior ranks signing a long-term contract in 2019.

Having lost Bafana Bafana’s last team to Bafana head coach Bafana Molefi Ntseki for the March international window, the young midfielder hopes to be in the senior team in the near future.
