Mabuza had previously postponed oral questions in the National Assembly due to reports of poor health.
After canceling the appearances twice, Vice President David Mabuza confirmed that he not only returned from sick leave, but would be available to face members of the National Council of Provinces this week and answer oral questions.
Mabuza had previously postponed oral questions in the National Assembly due to reports of poor health. At the ANC National Executive Committee briefing Monday night, Mabuza attacked critics saying that although information was circulating that he was dead, he was in fact very much alive.
“I was in a very difficult situation, getting sick. My health situation is improving, so I am thankful that I survived. Some of our people were already circulating information that I am dead. Well, I’m still alive. “
The vice president addressed issues related to his health and also praised President Cyril Ramaphosa for leading the ship through difficult times.
“The ANC has done well since Nasrec to date,” he said, before noting that he had only been back to work for ten days. “My condition is improving,” he emphasized.
Mabuza in recovery is expected to answer oral questions in the National Assembly later this week.
