Meanwhile, EFF leader Juluis Malema has requested to meet with the former president this weekend for “tea.”

“@PresJGZuma, can we have tea urgently?” Malema asked on his Twitter account.

Zuma responded to Malema, accepting his request and inviting the EFF leader to the infamous Nkandla located in KwaZulu-Natal.

Thobela Moshabi. I’ve seen your request to share a cup of tea. As you know, Nkandla village is my home and that is where I spend my time these days. I have plenty of tea, you are more than welcome to come have a cup. “

Malema further said that the meeting was “in the best interest of our country.”

“Thank you Baba, I will make a plan to arrive, possibly this weekend. I’ll take it further with your young man @mzwandileMasina for final details. Thank you for accepting my request immediately. It is the best for our country ”.

However, the media will not be able to broadcast or attend the private conversation between the two after a Twitter user asked Malema.

The request for a meeting is a surprise because Malema had a very public aftermath with Zuma, after being one of his strongest supporters for a year.

While Zuma was key to Malema’s rise within the ranks of the ANC, the EFF leader has described his former mentor as a “fool.”

Malema, then leader of the ANC Youth League, was expelled from the match for poor discipline and bad behavior according to Zuma.

“Zuma is dumb … he’s dummy number one, and it took me a year after the Polokwane conference to realize that he’s dumb,” Malema said at the time.
