Reigning Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi will return to South Africa to act as a judge in this year’s Miss SA competition next week.

The lineup of women judges includes Peggy-Sue Khumalo, Anele Mdoda and Leandie du Randt. A fifth judge has yet to be revealed.

The spectacular will take place at The Table Bay Hotel on Saturday starting at 5 pm and will be broadcast live on M-Net (DStv channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), with a limited audience on the place due to Covid-19 restrictions. .

Miss SA spokeswoman Janine Walker said: “While the pageant will be held at an entertainment-packed event on Saturday, only a select audience will be able to physically attend the event.”

The show will feature many local musical talents, including Mi Casa, Sho Madjozi, Ami Faku, Jimmy Nevis, and Sun El-Musician.

Former Miss SA Tamaryn Green will host the pre and post shows, which are part of the online streaming package. Subscriptions to broadcast the finale of the Miss SA pageant live are currently on sale.

The cost of pay per event is R99.99 excluding VAT and will include the exclusive pre-show event, the opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes at the event, as well as access to an exclusive post-coronation interview with the newly crowned. Miss SA.

Green, who was crowned Miss SA in 2018 and represented South Africa at the 2018 Miss Universe competition and came in as the first runner-up, qualified as a doctor last year and is also an in-demand model.

This year’s top 10 Miss SA finalists are Aphelele Mbiyo, Busisiwe Mmotla, Chantelle Pretorius, Jordan van der Vyver, Karishma Ramdev, Lebogang Mahlangu, Melissa Nayimuli, Natasha Joubert, Shudufhadzo Musida and Thato Mosehle.
