Durban – Vodacom users spent most of Friday trying to understand why their phones couldn’t connect.
According to reports, around 1pm on Friday, many users began experiencing network problems.
According to the service provider, they were dealing with “a widespread network problem.”
Responding to a tweet, Vodacom said: “Hello, we are aware of a widespread network problem currently. Our network technicians are working to get it back up and running. We appreciate your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
Vodacom is aware of an issue affecting data connectivity to some of its customers in various regions. Our technicians are working hard to resolve the issue.

At this stage, it is unclear when Vodacom expects these issues to be resolved.
Meanwhile, dozens of users took to Twitter to express their irritation.
