Conchata Ferrell has died. He was 77 years old.

The actress died of complications after a cardiac arrest on Monday, reports Deadline, and was surrounded by family and friends.

His manager, Dan Spilo, later confirmed the news to CNN calling her a “wonderful, kind and strong woman”. “She will be missed,” he said.

The three-time Emmy nominated actress starred in movies like Eduardo scissorhands Y Erin brockovich and he was a regular in LA Lawsixth season before going on to teach television acting at UCLA. However, she was best known for playing Berta, the housekeeper, alongside Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and later, Ashton Kutcher, in Two and a half Men.

In tribute to the actress, Jon Cryer wrote on Twitter: “She was a beautiful human.

“Berta’s gruff exterior was a writers invention. Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were her true strengths. I am crying for the woman I will miss and the joy she brought to so many.”

Charlie Sheen also shared a photo of himself with Conchata on set, calling her “an absolute sweetheart.”

“Berta, your cleanliness was a bit suspicious, your ‘people’ kept it perfect,” she said.

Conchata is survived by her husband Arnie and daughter Samantha.
