The daily show Host Trevor Noah has been announced as the host of the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, according to Variety.
The announcement comes ahead of the live broadcast of the Grammy nominations on Tuesday. grammy.com at 12:00 Eastern Time (7:00 PM CAT).
“Even though I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to let me sing or nominate me for best pop album, I am excited to host this auspicious event,” the post shared with a quote from the SA comedian.
“I think, as a one-time Grammy nominee, I’m the best person to give a shoulder to all the amazing artists who don’t win overnight because I too know the pain of not winning the award. (This is a metaphorical shoulder., I’m not trying to catch Corona.) See you at the 63rd Grammys! ”He continued.
“We are delighted to welcome the host of @TheDailyShow, Emmy winner and GRAMMY nominee @TrevorNoah as host of the #GRAMMYs 63!” The Recording Academy wrote in an Instagram post.
