Good evening Tottenham fans. Here are the headlines from Sunday night, September 20.

Mourinho unsure about the future of Alli

After Dele Alli was left out of Tottenham’s call-up for victory at Southampton, José Mourinho was asked about the midfielder’s future at the club.

“I am not responsible for the market”, said the Portuguese coach when asked if the England international could leave before the transfer window closes.

“I don’t know how to answer your question in relation to that.

“All I can say is that I left eight players behind. They stayed and trained this morning because they are a big group and Dele is among these players.

“You could see our team. I can’t start with everyone and I can’t have a bench without defenders or midfielders. In the same way, the template is a puzzle, the bank is also a small puzzle.

“So having Toby (Alderweireld) and Serge (Aurier) on the bench, and Moussa (Sissoko) and Gio (Lo Celso), (Eric) Lamela and (Steven) Bergwijn.

“I can’t have four wingers or three wingers and a number 10 on the bench, and then no defenders.

“Everything is an enigma, so in these games he was left out, he will probably play on Tuesday and others will be out.”
