Jordan then took Morgan out with his first ball to make the score 67-4.

Jordan followed up with the window of Liam Livingstone (20) before Gregory fired Moeen Ali (15) to put Team Buttler firmly in charge.

An 80-race stoppage between Woakes, who hit two sixes in his half century, and Tom Curran revived Team Morgan’s hopes, but when they fell on successive starts, the finish line was in sight.

Woakes was stumped at Adil Rashid’s bowling alley while Curran was caught and thrown by Olly Stone.

Gregory then eliminated Wood and Ball to close out a 50-run victory.
