Investigations continue.

The Investigation Directorate of the Independent Police (Ipid) has arrested the third suspect linked to the murder of Nathaniel Julies, accused of frustrating the purposes of justice and being in possession of prohibited ammunition.

The detective is also from Eldorado Park South African Police Services. He is scheduled to appear before the Protea Magistrates Court on Thursday, Ipid said.

Two other officers, both from the Eldorado Crime Prevention Unit, have each been charged with murder, firing a firearm in public, possessing ammunition and defeating the administration of justice.

They were revealed by the National Prosecutor’s Office (NPA) as SS Sergeant Nyalvane and Agent C Whiteboy.

According to the NPA, Both agents will remain in police custody until September 10 to continue the investigation and ensure that defendant number two has legal representation.

Investigations continue.
