Suitable and with boots
Thiago Alcantara came to Anfield as a Liverpool player for the first time in style.
The 29-year-old midfielder set foot inside his new home after arriving from Bayern Munich and looked in full swing.
He donned a smart dark suit and white shirt with a pair of high-top canvas sneakers.
Oh, and a mask too. Security First.
“You are playing?”
Thiago video-called his daughter while she performed her digital and media functions at Anfield.
Switched to Nike’s new home jersey, it says, “Gabi, look at daddy’s shirt, my love!”
“What team is it? Are you playing?” She answers.
“No, Dad’s not playing now, love. I’m just going to take some pictures.”
I have a feeling that he will soon know all about Liverpool, and will have some shirts of his own!
Stay tuned, Vicky Jepson! There could be a future star of Liverpool Women on your hands.
Scouse Talk
An incredible touch from the Liverpool media team included Thiago asking, “How are we doing?” in his best Scouse language.
The club pulled out a clip of this after he put pencil on paper in Merseyside … but it wasn’t the first take.
Thiago initially stepped up to the camera and laughed, adding, “I couldn’t be serious!”

His next attempt was much better.
Whether Really it was the second take, of course …
When he got it right, the Liverpool staff gave him a lovely applause. Aw.

Home of champions
A good moment is that Thiago stayed recording the Anfield turf from inside the tunnel area.
“We are here,” he says. “The home of the Premier League champions”.
Those are the words Liverpool fans will love to hear all season long.
Jurgen Klopp tradition
I saved the best for last.
In 2016, Jurgen Klopp said: “I’ve told my players not to touch the ‘This is Anfield’ sign until they win something.
“It’s a show of respect. I played it when I was Borussia Dortmund coach, but we lost 4-0.”
Thiago strongly supports the wishes of his coach.
“To touch that symbol we have to deserve it to win as many trophies as we can,” he added.
“So today I will respect that tradition.”
Don’t you love him already?
