The Manchester United board fears having made a mistake by José Mourinho

Following recent events, Manchester United’s management fear they made a mistake during José Mourinho’s stay at the club.

The Manchester United board surely could not have been with Paul Pogba’s situation in recent weeks. France’s Mino Raiola’s agent, who is an unpopular figure at Old Trafford, has come out and has publicly stated that the midfielder’s time at the club will sooner or later end, virtually confirming that he has no interest in signing a new contract.

To be honest, it seems that Pogba wants to leave the club for a few years. And as a result, it should come as no surprise to any United fan who seems headed for the starting gate.

With less than a couple of years left on his contract, it seems likely the Red Devils will let him pass at some point during the next two transfer windows. Otherwise, they risk it going free.

Those with good memories will recall, however, that Pogba’s problems initially began during José Mourinho’s final season at the club. The two would have fallen and the coach would relegate the French to the bench.

The terrible form of the Red Devils during that period of time was far from great. And finally, the club would end up firing Mourinho. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would replace the Portuguese manager and the results immediately improved. According to The Sun, Manchester United’s management now fear they made the wrong decision back then by siding with Pogba over Mourinho.

As we know, Mourinho has continued to triumph in the Premier League by turning Tottenham Hotspur into true title contenders in no time and without spending a significant amount of money. On the other hand, Pogba’s problems have continued and he will most likely be a former Manchester United player sooner rather than later.
