Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt was taken aback by his team’s performance in the CAF Champions League goalless draw against PWD Bamenda over the weekend.
Bamenda arrived in South Africa a few hours before kickoff due to visa delays and COVID-19 and many expected the Kaizer Chiefs to put their jetlagged opponents to the sword, however Amakhosi’s performance left much to be desired.
Despite advancing to the next round courtesy of a 1-0 win on aggregate, Gavin Hunt couldn’t find an explanation for the Kaizer Chiefs’ disappointing performance on the night.

Gavin Hunt claimed that Kaizer Chiefs’ goal-scoring crisis is the worst he has seen in more than 30 years as a coach.

The match was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, however due to the delay in the CAF Champions League clash over the weekend, PSL have allowed an additional day of rest for Kaizer Chiefs before face Lidoda Duvha.
