Happy friday friends.
The weekend is almost upon us, and as a little added joy, a reminder that the work week that follows is only four days long.
Bring on the Heritage Day celebrations. I’m ready.
Speaking of Heritage Day, President Ramaphosa, in his speech on Wednesday, asked all of us to mark the occasion in a very specific way: the ‘Jerusalem’ dance challenge.
If you somehow missed it, it’s a global viral dance challenge, performed to the hit song ‘Jerusalema’ by South African musician Master KG, voiced by Nomcebo Zikode, which has great staying power.
I expected it to go away weeks ago, but it still works, and He even caught the attention of Cristiano Ronaldo recently.
This week the Wild Is Life Trust’s Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery (ZEN), a sanctuary for injured wildlife based in Harare, joined the challenge.
This time it came with a little twist and it’s adorable.
According to TimesLIVE, the video shared on ZEN’s Facebook page and Instagram account shows the nursery staff dancing alongside elephants and giraffes.
Take it, you’ve earned it:
You can also see it on Facebook here.
There is nothing healthier than that.
