JOHANNESBURG – The father of a 10-year-old boy who died after a medical procedure performed by Dr. Abdulhay Munshi has denied any involvement in the doctor’s death.

Mohammadh Sayed broke his silence in a statement Friday afternoon amid widespread speculation that Munshi’s death was a targeted coup.

Sayed said he has instructed his legal team to engage with investigative and prosecution authorities on a regular basis to ensure justice is served in a legitimate matter.

Munshi died after being shot six Wednesday when he stopped to check his car that had been rear-ended.

He was a co-defendant in a medical malpractice case along with Dr. Peter Beale.

The couple had been charged with manslaughter after the death of the 10-year-old boy.
