The Crown’s Emma Corrin casts a shadow on the royal family saying it would be awkward to meet them

British actress Emma Corrin believes that meeting a member of the royal family would be an uncomfortable experience for her.

Corrin, who rehearses Diana in the fourth season of the Netflix series The crown, explains how uncomfortable it would be to meet royal royalty.

“I’d be pretty nervous,” she said as she appeared in Today Show. “I think it would be a bit like meeting an ex at a party.”

The actress had previously spoken about how the show’s director, Benjamin Connor, warned her after she was offered the role that her life would parallel Diana’s.

“Ben told me that if you’re ever followed by a photographer, or if your name ends up in the newspaper, when you’re surrounded by flashing lights and you’re feeling intimidated or overwhelmed or whatever you feel, this is exactly how she would feel. You’re going to have a parallel experience, ”Corrin said.

“[The show] It’s already changed my life quite a bit, and I hope that when it comes out, things will get a little crazy for a moment, “Corrin added.

She also shared something about how to play young Diana, when she was just a socialite who had a crush on Charles before marrying him.

“It was wonderful to take her back to that time. When she first met Charles, it was just that she was in love, and that’s all she had to play with, ”she said. “It’s something I can relate to, that thing about not wanting to be seen, but obviously wanting to be seen, and how are you going to relive what happened a million times in your head afterward.”
