Night sky lovers are in luck, as the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn will all appear together to create a memorable scene this weekend.
The trio will appear only a few degrees apart and provide the perfect opportunity to gaze at their beauty, right here in Mother City.
According to Time and Date, the three celestial bodies will be perfectly visible from Cape Town. Those who want to watch the show, however, will have to stay up late or get up early, and the best viewing times on Saturday, August 29 will be between 4 a.m. and 5.30 a.m.
A conjunction takes place when the astral bodies approach each other or the moon, and a pair of binoculars or a telescope will aid in your viewing experience.
The moon will be very bright and Jupiter will also appear bright, while Saturn will be much weaker.
While it will be a noteworthy event, the moon itself will be particularly dazzling, so remember to keep your eyes up in the sky this weekend.
