The Vodacom Bulls have confirmed the signing of Springbok utility Gio Aplon, who will join the Japan team as soon as he can travel to South Africa.
Aplon previously traded in South Africa for the Western Province and the Stormers from 2005 to 2014, before moving to the French Top 14 club Grenoble.
As the Bulls’ new rugby manager Jake White continues to build his squad, Aplon will join them in June or as soon as he can travel to South Africa.
White is well known for having held Aplon in high esteem since Bok’s former coach worked in Montpellier in France, while the 37-year-old utility company also played under White’s tutelage in Japan.
