While we can’t name all the promising new games, here is a selection of 10 of the most anticipated titles slated for release in 2021.
Far Cry 6

Ubisoft’s next installment in the popular Far Cry franchise was originally scheduled for release on February 18, 2021, but has been pushed back to a later date in the year.
Players will take on the role of Dani Rojas, a guerrilla who participates in a revolutionary war against President Antón Castillo of Giancarlo Espasito, the fascist dictator of the fictional tropical island of Yara.
The creators have described the setting as “the largest Far Cry playground to date” and “a tropical paradise frozen in time,” meaning it will likely keep fans shooting, looting, exploring, and capturing targets throughout. many hours.
Infinite Halo

These games often see the protagonists take on hordes of zombies and mutated creatures that are the result of the Umbrella Corporation’s T virus.
Village is in a secluded mountainous location that includes a mysterious castle alongside a quiet, dilapidated village Ethan and Mia Winters find themselves in after the events of Biohazard.
While little else has been revealed about the game or the story, trailers have shown that a werewolf-like human-canine hybrid is one of the potential enemies players will encounter.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodline 2

The action-role-playing title Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 follows the story of a human in 21st century Seattle who is killed and revived as a vampire with rather limited capabilities.

Hitman 3

In the epic space opera RPG shooter, players take on the role of Commander Shepard, who assembles and leads a team of soldiers from multiple planets on a mission that spans multiple galaxies.
Shepard and his squad battle with the forces of the Reapers, an ancient alien race hell-bent on destroying (or transforming) all life in the universe.
The Legendary Edition will include new textures, shaders, models, effects, and technical features for the three original titles and their DLC.
Gamers can expect 4K resolution, improved maximum frame rates, and a variety of other visual enhancements.
Hogwarts legacy

Although the last Harry Potter novel was released in 2007, and the last film hit theaters nine years ago, the wizarding world of JK Rowling is far from being forgotten.
Potterheads will be itching to jump into Hogwarts Legacy, an open world game set in the 19th century that will allow them to play as students of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Along the way, they will explore the school and other locations in the Wizarding World, while learning new spells, crafting options, fighting enemies, and tame beasts.
God of War: Ragnarok

Although most details about the upcoming God of War, including its official name, are unknown, Sony has at least announced a release date for 2021 in the game’s announcement trailer shown during the PlayStation 5 launch.
The game will be set in ancient Norway and loosely based on Norse mythology, including myths and stories from legends such as Odin, Thor, Loki, and naturally the cataclysmic doomsday event known as Ragnarok.
This title will be the ninth installment of the popular action-adventure series, which is probably a favorite among many PlayStation players.
There weren’t even official concept images or screenshots of the game other than a logo at the time of writing, but the illustrator and God of War fan Caglayan Kaya Goksoy created the image below that shows Kratos facing off against Thor.
It remains to be seen if such an attractive compromise will be part of the end game, but with Kratos’ reputation for slaying gods, it is almost a given.
Knights of gotham

Warner Bros Games Montreal, the studio behind the acclaimed Arkham games, will release its first DC Comics game without everyone’s favorite caped crusader Batman at the helm.
Instead, players will take on the role of their side kicking entourage, including Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing.
The plot takes place some time after the apparent death of Batman, as well as the disappearance of Commissioner James Gordon, leading to the Gotham City Police Department becoming corrupt again and increasing crime and lawlessness in the city.
The remaining heroes are left to restore justice to Gotham and prevent it from falling into chaos.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide

Enthusiastic RTS gamers will be familiar with Warhammer’s vast lore – 40,000 computer games, dating back to 1995.
Next year will see the release of Darktide, described as a visceral 4-player cooperative action game.
