Telkom and SABC launch a new streaming service

Telkom has partnered with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) to launch a new online broadcast service called TelkomONE.

The five-year partnership is a one-of-a-kind digital transportation agreement for SABC and will include television show radio platforms on a single online platform.

TelkomONE will broadcast SABC’s television channels 1, 2, Sports and Education, as well as all 19 SABC radio stations.

SABC will provide your content to Telkom on a non-exclusive basis.

In return, SABC will receive a transportation license fee, as well as a share of the advertising revenue generated on the TelkomONE platform.

Customers can browse the catalog and register for free to access a limited content catalog that has a mix of news, inspiration and entertainment channels or subscribe to one of AMP’s subscription packages including music, short films, series television and free content. by default when registering.

Telkom added that the streaming service will offer other content in addition to SABC channels, including comedy and lifestyle shows and music.
