Sekgotodi said that the “boss” of Mpumalanga was also arrested and charged with violating section 43 of the Basic Employment Conditions Act.

She said an unlicensed .22 hunting rifle, telescope and live ammunition were seized during the search at another home.

“A 20-year-old man was arrested for illegal possession of the firearm and ammunition. The following exhibits were also found and confiscated: hammers, generators, cell phones, gold material, chemicals and gas cylinders containing mercury, ”he said.

The suspects are expected to appear in Barberton magistrates court on Monday.
