The beloved doctor was diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier in the year and was admitted to the hospital in February due to breathing problems.

“Dr. Sindi cannot breathe on her own yet, and the cost of having to use the respirator alone is around R150,000 per week.

“She has suffered from various complications related to an extended ICU stay, and we need more funds to pay for her continued hospital stay until her lungs can cope without the ventilator,” said her husband Marinus van Zyl in a brief statement on the fundraising. page.

Dr. Sindi’s hospital bill has already exceeded one million rand and the funds raised will give her a chance to survive.

“Sindi has dedicated her life to helping many people. She knew from the age of four that she always wanted to help people as a medical doctor. Now she needs your help,” concluded Marinus.

Donations have already poured in to reach R778 360 so far. The goal is R2 million.
