JOHANNESBURG – The state apprehension commission will hear a request from former President Jacob Zuma on Monday morning that Chief Justice Raymond Zondo recuse himself.

Zuma’s attorneys filed the request last Wednesday, but previously accused Zondo of being biased against Zuma.

Zuma had previously said that the family background between the two was the reason and Zondo later clarified that he had a relationship and a child with a sister of one of Zuma’s wives 25 years ago before Zuma met the wife in question.

This was former President Jacob Zuma when he first announced that he had launched an investigation into the state capture.

“I asked the Chief Justice to provide me with the name of the judge who will preside over the commission; he has selected Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo to take on this task. I urge all of you to cooperate with the commission of inquiry. The process and do not place impediments that prevent the commission from doing its job. “

Zuma has previously appeared before Zondo and never mentioned his family history or that he was biased, yet today his attorneys will argue that, leaving many wondering: what has changed?
