Sony’s excellent WH-1000XM3 headphones cost just $ 238 at Newegg

Engadget’s Devindra Hardawar gave the WH-1000XM3 a score of 94 when reviewed in 2018. They are comfortable, well made, and feature excellent noise canceling capabilities. Compatibility with the Bluetooth codec is equally excellent with ACC, aptX HD and LDAC, all present and accounted for. But best of all, you can get up to 30 hours of music playback on a single charge.

That said, they are not perfect. For starters, touch controls can be tricky. Some people don’t like their sound profile, either, noting that they don’t sound very good if they like to listen to genres like jazz and classical music. Another thing to note is that Sony is likely to update them sometime this year. In March, Anatel, the Brazilian version of the FCC, released images of the M3’s successor. Most of the improvements that the M4s seem to bring to the table seem to be iterative. That said, if you feel like you would have buyer’s remorse, it’s probably better to wait. On the other hand, if you don’t mind owning the latest and greatest, these will serve you for years.
