Sony has launched its new range of televisions in South Africa, which includes a new OLED UHD model.

Four new TV models with various size options will be available domestically exclusively through Incredible Connection and Hi-Fi Corp.

“We are pleased to announce the arrival of our televisions on the shores of South Africa, which feature the latest technologies to deliver an immersive entertainment experience for fans,” said Shuichi Mugitani, Sony’s director of marketing for the Middle East and Africa.

“The South African market is extremely important to us, which is why we have made it our top priority to fit this exciting new 2020 lineup with Sony’s innovative voice search and outstanding premium large displays, underscoring our commitment to deliver content the way the creators intended. “

Sony’s new line of televisions comprises the A8H, X90H, X75H and X80H 4K models, each of which has a 4K resolution display.

The line is equipped with the Android 9 smart TV platform and Sony’s X1 image processor, which the company says produces clear and accurate image quality.

Sony’s new 4K TVs also feature Netflix Calibrated Mode, which ensures the highest quality Netflix streaming, and has a wraparound edge design that employs small, minimalist brackets at the edge of the screen.

These Sony 4K TVs support Dolby Atmos sound, as well as connectivity support for Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and Airplay.
