JOHANNESBURG – Some members of the Free State ANC rallied outside Luthuli House in support of the party’s general secretary, Ace Magashule.
This follows reports earlier this week that an arrest warrant was issued for Magashule, something the Hawks denied.

Magashule supporters say an alleged arrest warrant against him is aimed at settling political scores.
ANC spokesman Pule Mabe dismissed the accusations and asked members to use party structures to voice their complaints.
“You will remember that it was we at the ANC who came out to speak about a rumor that would have suggested that the secretary general was going to be arrested, and in fact the SG, along with his legal team have also come to light to clarify that there was no order There was really no need for the ANC to continue commenting on that matter because we felt it was sufficiently resolved, “said ANC spokesman Pule Mabe.
The Priority Criminal Investigation Directorate described the report as a malicious intent to undermine the integrity of the organization.
