Arsenal fans on Twitter have apparently suggested that they would like Bernd Leno to be their number one ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The 28-year-old posted a Twitter message on Monday after representing Germany in the UEFA Nations League, which included a duel against teammate Granit Xhaka.
Leno has apparently lost his spot as Arsenal’s number one after Emiliano Martinez took a chance when the German was injured just after football was restarted.
Mikel Arteta has a serious dilemma on his hands, and if he chooses to stay with Martinez, then it will be interesting to see Leno’s reaction given that he was one of his best players last season.
Arsenal fans on social media think he is still their number one but Arsenal’s clash in Fulham on Saturday will reveal it all.
Arteta chose to keep Martinez between her stick during their Community Shield win against Liverpool.
But it’s pretty clear that they will both want to put on their gloves for Premier League matches.

In truth, Leno has done nothing wrong other than injuring himself and discovering that his seat in the starting XI is no longer there upon his return.
