Popular SA Rasta artist, real name Lebani Sirenje, never fails to disappoint with his portraits.

Rasta is popularly known for his paintings, which are mainly performed at the funerals of celebrities and famous people.

Zimbabwe-born South African artist Rasta recently painted a portrait of American actor Chadwick Boseman and once again got it wrong.

Boseman, popularly known for his portrayal of T’Challa in the 2018 blockbuster “Black Panther,” passed away last Friday after a long battle with cancer.

In honor of the fallen hero, Rasta took to Twitter and Instagram to reveal Boseman’s portrait.

He simply captioned the post: “RIP Marvel’s first black superhero. We respect your work @chadwickboseman @MarvelStudios.”

Unsurprisingly, the peeps were not impressed by his artwork.

The no-nonsense radio and television host Sizwe Dlomo took to Twitter to express his disappointment at the Rasta painting.

He told Rasta to stop embarrassing the country.

“Rasta! Did you even label them as mara? You’re embarrassing us monna (man)! Dlomo said.

He continued: “At this point, Rasta is really wasting paint.”

Rasta’s painting left confusion on Twitter with many claiming that the portrait does not look like the “Black Panther” star. See below for some of the Twitter reactions.

Although the infamous painter receives criticism for his portraits, not him, Rasta continues to showcase his art. His artwork also includes portraits of the living.

His recent artwork includes President Cyril Ramaphosa, Metro FM host Lerato Kganyago, “The Queen” actress Zenande Mfenyana, powerful couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and Newzroom reporter Afrka Mbali Thethani.

Watch Thethani’s reveal below and judge for yourself.
