Mamelodi Sundowns talisman Gaston Sirino has revealed that he wants to leave the defending Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions.
This is according to a report from SoccerLaduma – The publication has stated that Sirino wants to join his former coach Pitso Mosimane in the Egyptian giant Al Ahly.
The news comes the same day that Mosimane will lead the Red Devils in battle against their fierce Cairo rival Zamalek in the final of the Caf Champions League.
There has been constant speculation about a possible transfer of Sirino to Al Ahly, the eight-time Champions League champion.
The Uruguayan appeared in the Sundowns’ first game of the season, against Bloemfontein Celtic, a loss in the MTN8 quarter-finals.

He hasn’t played at all since, reportedly due to a hamstring injury.
Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi commented earlier this week that the player is making good progress in his recovery, although he also said Sirino will not be rushed.
At the same time, Mngqithi reiterated the club’s stance that the attacker will not leave Downs.
However, it has now transpired that Sirino wants to leave, as he himself has said:
“It is my intention [to leave]”Sirino said Laduma. “But it’s not up to me, it’s up to Sundowns to accept the offer.”
The PSL transfer window closes on Monday, November 30, but remains open a little longer in the Egyptian league, until December 6.
Despite Sirino’s absence, the Brazilians have been dominant, putting aside their pothole at MTN8.
In the league, he is second, with three wins and a draw in his four games.
New signings like Kermit Erasmus and Peter Shalulile have started the season brilliantly and could make up for the loss of Sirino, should he leave.
Themba Zwane has also been in brilliant form, while Downs has many other players capable of scoring and scoring goals, including players like Sibusiso Vilakazi, Lebohang Maboe, Phakamani Mahlambi, Mothobi Mvala, and Gift Motupa.
Yet the 29-year-old Sirino’s contribution has been immense: in three seasons he played 100 games, scored 24 goals and created 29 assists for the Tshwane giants.
