Durban – The identification of the woman who was abandoned in Inanda, north of Durban, with her throat slit and her hands severed, has brought back memories of the murder of Siam Lee.

Jessica Weyers was identified Thursday by her mother, Leanne Claassens, at the Phoenix morgue.

In a Facebook post, Mobi-Claw 911 spokesperson Mike Myers said that the public met ‘Jane’ on January 18, 2018, who was interviewed during the search for Siam Lee.

“We met Jessica through our investigation into the Siam Lee murder case. We delve into the dark side of Durban involving prostitution and drugs. Jane was a working girl who became a very reliable source of information that led us to this dark underworld, ”Myers said.

Lee was abducted in January 2018 from a Durban North home believed to be a brothel. Two days later, his charred body was found in a sugar cane field in New Hanover. The man accused of her murder died of cancer.

She said in her article that they mentioned Weyers’ cat who was very close to her.

Myers also said she was very sad to learn of Weyers’ death and sent her condolences to her family.

Mobi-Claw 911 had been investigating the disappearance of Siam Lee and their investigations led them to the beach where they met Weyers.

Here are a couple of paragraphs from the day they met and interviewed Weyers:

“We found what we were looking for, the woman that everyone says is Siam, but she is not. We can certainly see the similarity and why they have led us to it. For the purposes of this story, we’ll call her Jane. “

“Jane is estimated to be in her twenties, in her own right, very attractive, save for her teeth that have been rotten from drugs. She quickly softens when she realizes that we are not there for her and searches for a missing girl and invites us to her apartment. This is a tough and cunning girl, she does not throw punches with her mouth, she tells it like it is. But we notice little things, she has a cat, this cat loves her and won’t leave her alone, there’s a scruffy Christmas tree in the corner. You soon realize that this girl has a heart and somewhere deep there she is suffering and wanting more, but the drugs have captured her soul. “

“We interviewed Jane hoping for a lead on Siam, what comes out of that interview is scary, leads to hints of a human trafficking ring. We cannot divulge more in that regard at this stage, as we have opened our own investigation on it, we have no idea what could be discovered or if it is just another cold lead.
