His arrest comes after thousands of farmers went to Senekal to protest the murder of farm manager Brendin Horner. Horner was killed and found tied to a post with a rope around his neck.

The second arrested resides in Senekal and owns a towing service.

The first arrest was that of Andre Pienaar, 51, who faces charges of malicious damage to property and public violence, News24 reported.

Pienaar is currently detained in Bethlehem, according to a report by Netwerk24.

News24 previously reported that Pienaar delivered an out-of-court speech in the back of the bakkie.

He allegedly encouraged people to break into court, where the two defendants in Horner’s murder were to appear.

The chaos caused a police vehicle to overturn and catch fire. There were also reports of judicial property damage, News24 reported.
