Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have quietly launched the website of their non-profit organization, Archewell.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed their plans for “the charity we hoped to build one day” in April, but which had been discontinued due to “supportive efforts to address the global Covid-19 pandemic.”
Explaining the meaning behind the name of the nonprofit, the couple said they also revealed that it is the inspiration behind their son’s name:
“Before SussexRoyal, the idea for ‘Arche’, the Greek word for ‘source of action’, came up. We connected with this concept for the charity we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name . some sense, do something that matters. ”
