Taxi drivers in Durban found themselves fighting for safety when a Bakkie collided with a taxi rank on Saturday.
CCTV footage of the incident shows a white Toyota Hilux falling from the Commercial Road bridge in downtown Durban.
The vehicle can be seen colliding with a taxi parked at the Pine Street taxi rank.
Then it rolls a few meters before stopping.
“Two vehicles were damaged during the accident. A 30-year-old man [taxi] The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and another person, who was injured, was taken to hospital for medical attention, “KwaZulu-Natal police spokesman Capt. Nqobile Gwala told News24.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
