Our teams are already busy with the matter and we hope to have a clearer picture as soon as possible as the follow-up of contacts in both Harare and Mhondoro progresses, “said the senior director for policy, planning, monitoring and evaluation at the Ministry of Health and Child Care Dr. Robert Mudyiradima.

Information, Advertising and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa added that even Covid-19 working group from West Mashonaland province would visit the area for their own assessment, to try to understand the circumstances surrounding the broadcast in that area.

“It is very sad that we have lost our grandmother. As a member of the National Task Force, led by Mashonaland West, and I have engaged with the Provincial Task Force, which also addresses this issue.

“They told me they are going to visit this area to make sure it is disinfected and that people in this village are aware of the need to improve their hygiene practices. Even the MP from the area was very concerned and is equally busy with the matter, “said Minister Mutsvangwa.
