CAPE TOWN – There is still no sign of a 15-year-old Manenberg teenager who is suspected of drowning while swimming at Ouskip in Melkbosstrand.

Authorities conducted a comprehensive search on Sunday, which is expected to continue on Monday.
The teenager was swimming with members of his family when he disappeared into the waves.
“Three rescue vessels were launched at sea to join the search and lifeguards were deployed on the surf line to conduct free diving search efforts,” said Craig Lambinon, spokesman for the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) in a statement. .
He added: “Despite an extensive search by air, sea and coast, no trace remains of the teenager who disappeared in the waves while swimming with family members.
“A police diving unit is tasked with continuing an ongoing search operation, and they will be assisted by the services that are on duty in the area.”
