Acting CEO Ravi Govender has confirmed that the board of the Sports Confederation and the South African Olympic Committee (Sascoc) will institute an intervention at Cricket South Africa (CSA), but insisted it was not under administration.
Sascoc also told CSA that its board and executive, including the company’s secretary and interim CEO, should step aside while his soon-to-be appointed task force conducts an investigation into the organization, before reporting within a month of starting the “intervention”.
CSA went from one crisis to another in the last year, resulting in the firing of several senior managers, including its chief executive officer, Thabang Moroe, as well as the resignation of board members, whose head was less than three weeks before your AGM.
