After choosing its name through a public competition, the country’s newest airline now wants South Africans to choose how their planes should look.
Lift posted two illustrations by aircraft livery artists on social media, asking users to pick their favorite:
So far, more people have voted “A”.
Lift is a joint venture between local aircraft leasing company Global Aviation and kulula.com founder Gidon Novick. Global Aviation has been doing business in SA for almost two decades and also operates charter flights.
“The opportunity is to start fresh and clean and take advantage of record low input costs and a wealth of talented and skilled people. The airline is targeting a cost base that is 30% lower than existing carriers using a fleet of Airbus A320s, “Novick told Fin24. Its first flights, between Johannesburg and Cape Town, will depart on December 10.
