SA’s COVID-19 Recovery Rate Rises to 90.3%, 24 More Deaths Confirmed

The Health Department said 1,622 new infections were detected in the last day, bringing the number of known cases since the start of the outbreak in the country to more than 715,000.

CAPE TOWN – South Africa’s coronavirus recovery rate on Monday rose to 90.3% with more than 646,000 people having recovered so far.

The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 24 more deaths were recorded, bringing the death toll in South Africa to 18,968.

The department also said 1,622 new infections were detected in the past day, bringing the number of known cases since the start of the outbreak in the country to more than 715,000.
