A river guide drowned during a pipeline activity in the Storms River near Tsitsikamma in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.

An operation to retrieve the body of the dead was carried out at first light on Sunday morning.

The man’s body was placed in the care of the Eastern Cape Forensic Pathology Services and the police opened an investigation file.
